Hurray for you!
ReplyDeleteVery cool!!
ReplyDeleteWe will definitely be following your adventure and praying for you both every day. We will be petitioning that Saint Nicholas keeps you safe. We just learned that he is not only the precursor of Santa Claus but the patron saint of sailors as well. !Que les vaya bien! Paul and Pamela Kavanaugh
ReplyDeleteMay The Sea
ReplyDeleteRise Up To Meet You
May the sea rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your side.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your sails
and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Sheryl & Wayne
(traditional gaelic blessing)
May the sea give you just enough challenge for adventure and show some restraint when she considers otherwise 🤔.
ReplyDeleteMy heart lies in your hold to stay near and smiling eyes send renewing blessings through your journey.

Fair weather! Oh to be sailing in the Channel Islands again. Think of me when you go by Anacapa. Maybe you'll see the arch. God be with you. Dorry

ReplyDeleteGene Troutner's, my father, 91st birthday is the 25th of June. I was just talking to him and he shared news of your exciting adventure on the big blue sea! So a big hello. I look forward to catching up on the route.
ReplyDeleteYou made some innovative choices and encorporated some decisions that I have seen before. I enjoyed the YouTube video as well. Curious to hear of you used a 12v control panel and fuzes/circuitbreakers? I didnt see one. Also, there was no mention of a bilge pump, manual or electric. Did you have any bilge pumping capabilities?
ReplyDeleteGeorge,
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you enjoyed the video.
Yes, we did have a manual bilge pump. It was a Guzzler 400 or 500, I don't recall which but think it was the latter.
Our electric loads were all small, so we used one inline fuse near the battery. I believe it was around 10 amps. It worked fine throughout the voyage and never needed replacing.
